I spent this Sunday alone (with jiggs) at home because I’m not still not feeling up to par. I got to watch an awesome online church sermon, and the whole sermon was about Samson. God gave him this super strength. His hair was his prize, his showing of his dedication to God. His outward appearance showed one thing, but his inner self-his heart- showed something else. He turned to a different direction. He did things God told him not to do. He felt entitled, worthy, and able to do these things, to have that super strength, and to have that glory.
No. We’re not entitled to glory. We deserve death. All wages of sin is what? DEATH. We’re sinners. We deserve to die.
We can’t do anything without God. Don’t even try to do anything without God.
Pride leads to fall.
Samson went and took a handful of that honey from the lion he tore apart. God told him not to. He did. Temporary pleasures. Temporary.
Hmmm. Heart check. Reality.
Valentines day is coming up. Last year I had a valentine. It was all kilg. It was sweet. But it was a temporary thing. Temporary.
You know what? I’m so happy to say I am God’s and He is mine. He’s not temporary. His love? It’s everlasting. It’s never failing.
Ah! Have a blessed Sunday, y’all! :) Remember that God loves you more than you could ever imagine.
